I heard you crying yesterday,
And felt your heart-sent love.
So I’m sending you this message
Now, from Heaven up above.

You’re wondering if I’ll celebrate
My Birthday (way up here).
I know you’re missing me today
I feel your essence near.

God planned a special day for me,
He told me with a wink.
He’d ordered me a special cake
(It’s Angel food, I think).

Balloons will fill the streets for me,
They float up through the clouds.
And we have lots of friends up here
That make us laugh out loud.

There is a Birthday carousel,
Jewelled horses ride the wind,
With music playing, oh so sweet…
The magic never ends.

I’ve made so many friends, you see
We laugh and play and sing.
We ride our bikes and play jump rope
And sleep in Angel’s wings.

We’ll have our cake and ice cream
And open gifts - SURPRISE!
But we don’t blow out our candles here
Instead, they light the skies.

***As Time Goes By***

as time goes by the tears will dry
our memories of you will never die
They say you're in a higher place
peaceful and full of grace
forever young living a life of new
And as we try to understand
we`ll never see you again in a living land
and the family bond is a broken chain
when untill we meet again and the family
bond is once more whole again.

It hurt us the day you had to go
when god put his hand on your
shoulder and wispered your name low,
i see that you can hear me
so he said to you "follow me"
an angel took you by the hand
and walked you to the new land
as you were shown the way
for untill we meet again
we now know in the arms of god you
now for ever more lay
never to grow older in any way

rest in eternal peace and sleep in our
hearts our memories and thoughts
of you we will forever keep
your eyes now closed for rest
for the day you went god took you only to
show to us that heaven only takes the best
for they say
"when a bell rings an angel gets there wings"
when we look up at heaven above we know your
shining down on us with eternal love
as time goes by the tears will dry
